The Lotus Praga LMP 2 Team showed clear progress in qualifying for the Chinese WEC race in Shanghai. The engineers took some measures which proved to be effective. Liuzzi drove as his quickest lap time a 1:56,226. The team focussed on a set up to reduce tyre degradation for the race tomorrow.

Car # 31 qualified 7th in LMP 2 with an average lap time of 1:57,531 and car # 32 qualified 8th in LMP 2 with an average lap time of 1:57,639.
