Praga – Episode 5: Back on Track

After the heavens opened at Snetterton for Round 2 of the Praga Class in the Britcar Endurance Championship at the start of May, the sun came out at Oulton Park for Round 3 as the Praga Guest Drivers prepared for Praga Cars UK’s home race following the official opening of the Praga Cars UK HQ in nearby Antrobus.

Situated just 10 miles from Antrobus, Praga welcomed its drivers, friends, guests and business partners to meet the drivers and open Praga’s first international HQ outside of its Czech Republic homeland, so the scene was set for more exciting action on the track.

With a record nine Pragas set to battle it out, the competition intensified as all nine locked out the front of the grid ahead of the competing GT cars and the rest of the field. With a healthy mix of customer-owned Praga R1s going toe-to-toe with the factory-backed Guest Driver cars, the racing was fast and competitive. As expected, with 18 racing drivers at the wheel of the nine R1s, not everyone was celebrating after the two endurance races, but one novice driver was, incredibly, able to claim two winners’ trophies.
