Praga Kart Racing in Top 10 at Rotax Euro Challenge
26 May 2013, Castelletto, Italy — The second round of the Rotax Max Euro Challenge, held on the 7 Laghi circuit in Castelletto, saw two drivers from the Praga Kart Racing factory team in the top 10 of the finals. Pole Karol Dabski finished the Rotax Senior category in 10th place, while Japanese driver Marino Sato finished 8th in the Rotax Junior category.
In the Senior category, Dabski started out strong, qualifying P2 in his group and P4 overall. In the heats, he was consistently at the front with one 3rd place and two 2nd place finishes, but one unfortunate heat put him 18th going into the pre-final. But he came up strong, overtaking many drivers to finish P9. He stayed consistent for the final, finishing in the top 10 (P10) in the very competitive category.
In the Junior Category, Sato also had a good start to the weekend, qualifying P4 in his group and P9 overall. Each of his heats showed improvement (P13, P10, P5), and he started the pre-final from 17th position. In the pre-final , he really came up through the ranks, finishing with a fantastic 6th place, while in the final he also finished in the top 10 with a respectable 9th place.
Both drivers will next be seen this weekend in Genk for the last round of the WSK Euro Series, where Dabski and Sato race for the Praga Kart Racing team in the KF and KFJ categories, respectively.
