Race: CIK-FIA KZ European Championship Sunday Report

30 June 2013, Genk, Belgium — On Sunday at the Karting Genk circuit, the Praga Kart Racing team was ready to push forward to the pre-final and final events in KZ2. In the pre-final, Manetti made excellent ground, picking up eleven positions from P21 to P10 in his group, and would start the final from P19. Maxa was less fortunate, having a contact which put him just outside of qualifying for the final.

In the KZ2 final, again Manetti showed the strong performance of the Praga Kart chassis, recovering nearly a third of the field to move from P19 all the way into the top 10 (8th). Says Manetti “The chassis was absolutely amazing. For sure, I have experience, but this is my first year competing in a long time. So in these terms, I am really a normal driver, and the chassis definitely was a deciding factor in pushing me through the field and into the top ten.”

Manetti made an impressive showing on Sunday, recovering 11 positions in both the pre-final and the final, to finish in the top 10.
